As of 3 PM MDT Hurricane John was centered at 18.7 N / 110.5 W or 295 miles south of the southern tip of the Baja. It was moving NW at 10 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 105 mph. Pressure was estimated at 969 mb.
Tropical Weather Forecast:
John will track NW over the next few days to the west of the Baja. The main effects will be increasing swell and locally heavy rainfall on the southern Baja of 1-3 inches.
