Hurricane Bonnie
July 4, 2022
Bonnie moved across the Caribbean and formed into a minimal tropical storm just as it made landfall over Nicaragua and Panama. It was a rare hurricane in that
Bonnie's circulation remained intact across Central America and retained its name in the Pacific. Bonnie regained strength as it moved out to sea and became a
hurricane several hundred miles SW of Mexico. It briefly topped out as a major hurricane of 115 mph.

Hurricane Danielle
September 4, 2022
Danielle formed in the central North Atlantic well west of the Azores. It meandered for several days before being picked up by the mid latitude
westerlies. The upper winds moved Danielle NE for a for days as a minimal hurricane before becoming extratropical, not affecting land.

Hurricane Earl
September 8, 2022
Earl organized and became a tropical storm north of the Leewards as it fought SW wind shear. The shear weakened as Earl moved generally northward.
This motion took it just east of Bermuda on the night of September 8 / early morning of the 9th. Earl had become a category 2 hurricane with a
large eye. It continued north and became extratropical over the colder waters of the North Atlantic ocean, SE of Newfoundland.

Hurricane Fiona
September 20, 2022
Fiona had a similar track to its predesessor Earl a few weeks earlier. This time however, Fiona was farther south, allowing it to affect
the northeast and northcentral Caribbean. Puerto Rico was impacted the greatest as Fiona strengthened into a hurricane and moved through
the Mona passage. This allowed very heavy rainfall to fall over Puerto Rico to the Dominican Republic for a few days. Mudslides and flooding occurred
with localized rainfall amounts over 20". Fiona continued north, passing west of Bermuda and eventually making landfall over NE Nova Scotia
as an extratropical cyclone.

Hurricane Ian
September 28, 2022
Hurricane Ian was the most impactful hurricane of 2022 causing significant damage to SW Florida. Ian began organizing in the southern Caribbean and started to rapidly
strengthen as it moved northwest and made landfall over western Cuba on the early morning of the 27th as a category 3 hurricane. Ian continued to strengthen and made landfall
near the Port Charlotte / Ft. Myers area over southwest Florida on the afternoon of the 28th as a category 4 hurricane. Storm tides of up to 15 feet were observed. Ian moved
across the state, emerging off of the east coast, where storm tides also caused flooding, but not nearly as severe as seen in SW Florida.Ian continued northward and made landfall
on the upper coast of South Carolina.
After the season ended, NHC upgraded Ian to a category 5 hurricane. This was based on Hurricane Hunter wind interpolations and no
actual measurements at the surface.

Hurricane Julia
October 8, 2022
Julia formed near the ABC islands over the south central caribbean. It continued WNW and made landfall as a minimal hurricane on the east central
coast of Nicaragua.

Hurricane Lisa
November 2, 2022
Lisa formed south of Jamaica on October 31 and began to steadily strengthen as it moved WNW. It began to strengthen quickly and made
landfall later in the day on the 2nd as a category 1 hurricane. Significant flooding was experienced in Belize City with the storm tide.

Hurricane Martin
November 2, 2022
Martain formed well east of Bermuda and well southwest of the Azores. It was a short lived minimal hurricane that did not
affect any land areas.

Hurricane Nicole
November 9, 2022
Nicole was a late season tropical cyclone that formed east of the Bahamas. It moved west over Grand Bahamas and into SE Florida.
It was a very weak structurely looking hurricane. Top sustained surface winds at landfall were presumably 75 mph.
