Tuesday Afternoon Update

Don weakening

The Weather Situation
Yesterday evening Don was classified as a minimal tropical storm east of the Windward islands. Visible satellite imagery show a rather weak circulation with some convection approaching the southern Windwards. Some gusts to 40-45 mph can be expected over the area during the next 12 hours.



Current Tropical Weather
As of 11 AM AST Tropical Storm Don was centered at 11.5 N / 58.0 W or 155 miles SE of Barbados. It was moving west at 20 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 40 mph. Pressure was estimated at 1011 mb.

Tropical Weather Forecast:
Don is expected to degenerate into a depression across the southern Caribbean north of the South American coast during the next 24 hours.
