New TV cable channels

DirecTV, AccuWeather and and new potential start-up called The Weather Network are all looking to either start a new 24 x 7 weather network or increase their staffs. It looks like the day of the weather channel's monopoly is over.

Don't know. The weather channel is crap too. Has been for several years.

I didn't like TWC's smear job of DirecTV. They settled and gladly both TWC and Weather Nation is on the Direct.

I agree it was very childlike. I think that we all knew that money would rule and TWC would eventually give in to DirectTV.

Accuweather is up here in the Northeast. I'm curious to see if this will get off of the ground. I like Accuweather.

Accu weather's weather channel is supposed to be running soon, if its not already on.

I saw an ad on a job board for a forecaster there, so I'm not sure if it's ready to go or not?

Maybe we should all think about the tens of thousands of drivers that travel over these highways/interstates a DAY and have no problems what so ever...???


