Friday Evening Update

Olga classified

The Weather Situation
To my shock, Olga was classified. It does not look like a tropical cyclone and will declared extratropical shortly. Winds of tropical storm force were estimated up to 80 miles from the center south of the low.

Current tropical weather
As of 4:00 PM CDT Olga was centered at 26.3 N / 93.2 W or 260 miles south of Lake Charles, LA. It was moving NNE at 12 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 40 mph. Pressure was estimated at 998 hPa (mb).

Tropical Weather Forecast:
Olga will move up into the central U.S.as an extratropical cyclone the next few days.
