Friday Night Update

Melissa east of the Mid-Atlantic

The Weather Situation
No update is being written as I do not believe that Melissa is a subtropical storm. Instead, I believe it is still better classified as a Nor'easter. Heavy surf and coastal flooding will gradually subside.

Sunday Afternoon Update

Melissa becoming extratropical

The Weather Situation
Melissa gained convection near the center of circulation Saturday and transformed into a tropical cyclone. It now is almost void of convection and will be declared extratropical soon.
