Friday Night Update

Vicente near the coast

The Weather Situation
Vicente will be moving away from Guatemala and south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec The main threat at this time is heavy rainfall near the west coast of Mexico.

Current Tropical Weather
As of 4 PM CDT Vicente was centered at 13.3 N / 92.2 W or 110 miles south of Tapachula, Mexico. It was moving NW at 2 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 40 mph. Pressure was estimated at 1005 mb.

Tropical Weather Forecast:
Vicente should stay south of Mexico for a few days and may make landfall on the west central coast of Mexico Tuesday or Wednesday.

Saturday Evening Update

Vicente near the coast

The Weather Situation
Vicente is a very small tropical cyclone. The main threat will be from locally heavy rainfall near the coast.

Current Tropical Weather
As of 4 PM CDT Vicente was centered at 14.6 N / 94.3 W or 125 miles SSE of Salina Cruz, Mexico. It was moving west at 9 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 50 mph. Pressure was estimated at 1002 mb.

Tropical Weather Forecast:
Vicente should stay south of Mexico for a few days and may make landfall as a weak tropical depression on the west central coast of Mexico Tuesday.

Vicente offshore

The Weather Situation
Vicente remains offshore of Mexico and no effects are present to land areas at this time.

Current Tropical Weather
As of 4 PM CDT Vicente was centered at 14.2 N / 97.9 W or 230 miles SE of Acapulco, Mexico. It was moving west at 10 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 40 mph. Pressure was estimated at 1005 mb.

Vicente should stay south of Mexico for a few days and may make landfall as a weak tropical depression on the west central coast of Mexico Tuesday.

Monday Afternoon Update

Vicente weaker

The Weather Situation
Vicente appears to be weakening west of the SW coast of Mexico. Heavy rainfall still remains offshore.

Tropical Weather Forecast:
Vicente is weakening and may already be a depression. It will continue to weaken as it approaches the coast of Mexico south of Cabo Corrientes tomorrow.
