Are all weather people meteorologists?

To me it doesn't seem that some of the weather people are as knowledgeable about the weather as others. Are all or most tv weather people meteorologists :?:

Mr. B., the forecasters on TV are a combination of meteorologists and journalists. Some the of meteorologists have four year degrees, many others have a Mississippi State degree which isn't into as much heavy physics and math. There is a wide difference in the credentials!

The tv weather people in my town are a combination of meteorologists and journalists. The main guy is a meteorologist but the others are pretty good too.

I see some of the people where I live have the AMS seal on their program. Does that make them a meteorologist? I would think so.

Boston has some good weather people. I usually watch the morning news - Good Morning America show.
