Friday Morning Update

Wilfred classified

The Weather Situation
A disturbance well southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands gained convection. Enough spin was noted to declare it a tropical storm.

Current tropical weather
As of 11:00 AM AST Wilfred was centered at 11.9 N / 32.4 W or about 630 miles WSW of the Cabo Verde Islands. It was moving WNW at 17 mph. Officially top sustained winds are estimated at 40 mph. Pressure was estimated at 1008 hPa (mb).

Tropical Weather Forecast:
Wilfred is predicted to not expected to affect land during the next five days.
