Tuesday Night Update

Christina organizing south of Mexico

The Weather Situation
Tropical storm has formed south of Mexico.

Current tropical weather
As of 4:00 PM PDT Tropical Storm Christina was centered at 13.0 N / 103.8 W or 415 miles south of Manzanillo, Mexico. It was moving NW at 13 mph. Officially top sustained winds are estimated at 45 mph. Pressure was estimated at 1003 hPa (mb).

Tropical Weather Forecast:
Christina is forecast to strengthen to hurricane strength. It is expected to stay well west of Mexico. The only concerns would be for an other rainband and some higher than normal surf.

Saturday Night Update

Christina moving out

The Weather Situation
Christina didn't quite make official hurricane strength. It was estimated at 70 mph for several advisories. It has a classic hurricane look today, but winds aren't quite there as it is moving over colder water.
