Lidia closing in on Cabo San Lucas
The Weather Situation
Tropical Storm Lidia is still very disorganized. It continues toward the southern Baja where it will bring heavy rainfall where 10-20" could fall. Flash flooding and mudslides are a major concern.
Current Tropical Weather
As of 9 AM MDT Tropical Storm Lidia was centered at 22.3 N / 109.7 W or 90 miles SSE of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It was moving NNW at 9 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 50 mph. Pressure was estimated at 994 mb.
Tropical Weather Forecast:
Lidia will move directly up the Baja peninsula. This will allow for very heavy rainfall to occur over locations that are normally dry. This will lead to severe flash flooding.

Friday Morning Update
Lidia over the southern Baja
The Weather Situation
Tropical Storm Lidia made landfall several hours ago over the southern Baja. It will bring heavy rainfall where 10-20" of rain could fall. Flash flooding and mudslides are a major concern.
In addition storm surge will continue in parts of the Gulf of California / Sea of Cortez.
Current Tropical Weather
As of 7 AM MDT Tropical Storm Lidia was centered at 24.3 N / 111.2 W or 45 miles WNW of La Paz, Mexico. It was moving NNW at 8 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 65 mph. Pressure was estimated at 988 mb.
Tropical Weather Forecast:
Lidia will move directly up the Baja peninsula. This will allow for very heavy rainfall to occur over locations that are normally dry. This will lead to severe flash flooding. The Baja and NW Mexico will see heavy rainfall. Some heavy showers are also likely into southern Arizona and California.

Lidia bringing heavy rainfall to Baja
The Weather Situation
Tropical Storm Lidia is weakening, but continues to bring gusts to over 45 mph in the Bahia de California. Heavy rainfall is the main concern.. It will bring heavy rainfall with totals of 10 to 20. Flash flooding and mudslides are a major concern.

As of 9AM MDT Tropical Storm Lidia was centered at 27.9 N / 114.3 W or 50 miles east of Punta Eugenia, Mexico. It was moving NNW at 12 mph. Top sustained winds are estimated at 40 mph. Pressure was estimated at 997 mb.
Tropical Weather Forecast:
Lidia will move over the Pacific and weaken over the next 24 hours. The Baja and NW Mexico will see heavy rainfall. Some heavy showers are also likely into southern Arizona and California.
