Sunday Evening Update

Marie a cat 5

Tropicalweather.net had mentioned on Facebook that Marie had become a cat 5 several hours ago. NHC officially upgraded to cat 5 - 160 mph on the 2 pm PDT update. Satellite imagery show a staduim effect which is usually only seen in the most powerful hurricanes. The forecast keeps Marie well west of land, but large swell will affect southern California and Baja California.
