Hurricane season off to a normal start...

So far we have one official storm - Arlene. It is interesting to note that forecasters from a number of sources here in the states predicted a big year in hurricanes again. A recent forecast from a European agency predicted a normal season. IMO, the Europeans are better than us at this. We'll see who's more accurate this year....

As hurricane season is starting to wind down, it is now apparent that this was another busy year with above the long term average for tropical cyclones.
