2011 hurricane season prediction
Here is an excerpt from Colorado State on the 2011 hurricane season outlook:
the prediction is for another above average season, similar to 2010.

Great, just what we need - another active hurricane season. I don't think that we'll keep dodging the storms like we did last year. Sooner or later we're going to get another big one.

Right, eventually the odds will win out. Hopefully not this year though.

They update the forecast again before hurricane season starts. It probably won't be much different on the update.

I hope it like the 2010 hurricane season, where there are lots of hurricanes to look at, but with no damage.

The updated info from the national huricane conference was given by Dr. Phil..... Dr. Gray talked mostly on how hurricane activity is not connected to global warming. The numbers were only revised slightly downward.

The numbers that I was from the updated forecast were 16 tropical storms of which 9 become hurricanes of which 5 become major hurricanes.

The new hurricane forecast is almost the same as the one on the top of the thread.
