Weather people getting excited about gloom and doom

The weather people that I watch ( various ones ) all seem to get an adreanaline rush when bad weather is brewing. Sometimes when there is the threat of a hurricane it appears that they are almost giddy. It's not just the TV people, it's some of my facebook friends who post this junk.

Storms are really very interesting to track. The consequences of hurricanes, flooding or other storm damage can be horrific though. Its tough to say why people are so into it. The rush of trying to predict mother nature and the power behind it seems to be my thinking. Nobody wants or wishes for any loss of life or property!

For a true meteorologist there is a rush when severe weather occurs. The difference is with the small group that wants to see weather destruction without care who is involved.

Happens everywhere. What about lawyers....ambulance chaser commericials? Stock brokers buying when a company suffers? it's all the same - people getting excited on others misery.

The meteorologists can get excited about hurricane Danielle. It is a fish storm and will cause no harm.
