Yea, meteorologist are hard core. Rather chase a tornado / hurricane before getting paid. The bosses know it too.

There are a lot of businesses in this same shape. Many people are now underemployed having to accept jobs that pay less for the amount of experience that they have. I don't think this economy is about the turn the corner soon either.

Is there really an average for a TV person? I would think that wouldn't mean much since the positon and city would vary so much.

with the economy like it is, whatever the average is - it must be down like nearly every other job.

Ninja, I really don't think lower salaries would be worth saying "rock on!".....unless like it appears that you wrote that comment several times for no reason in several threads?

Just like any field there are the superstars who make IMO too much money. Are some of the news anchors really worth 1 + million dollars. I don't think so. The people would gradually get used to someone new who would make considerablly less. I know that I would care that much who I'd watch.

I'm sorry no one is worth 1 + million bucks. TV / sports / whoever.
