What percentage of schools teach meteorology?
I doubt that many high schools teach just meteorology. I would think that very few colleges have meteorology either. Anyone know of how many colleges or what percent of colleges offer meteorology as a major?

Do they offer meteorology at the high school level? I thought weather was always taught as an earth science.

Mr. B, they actually do teach meteorology at some high schools. It is usually in some type of charter or magnet school. You are right that most meteorology classes in high school are taught under the earth sciences.
As for college, I haven't looked for any percentages, but it certainly isn't high.

I just guess that they're aren't many weather jobs compared to the rest of the job market so not many schools need to teach meteorology. Right?Martin wrote:Shame more don't.
