Nennie0, I know a little about weather, and it seems like Penn State and Florida State have a fair amount of the weather people.

The weather guy at the weather station that I watch is from Mississippi or Mississippi State. He seems to be fine. I really don't know much about the school program though.

Is that an unbiased opinion Mike? :D Actually Penn St, Florida St, Oklahoma, and quite a few more now are all very good schools to study meteorology.

Just a little advice for anyone going in meteorology......I would highly suggest getting a double major as a "plan B". Meteorology jobs often require crazy work hours and are not nearly as easy to find as other professions. Get a computer science, engineering, math or some other degree too. I have a minor in physics and math and was close to a geography minor. I really wish that I had double majored or got a masters in another field. It will greatly help out with getting employed. The job market is changing and you want to be as marketable as possible.

The job market has changed a lot. I guess the couple of years spent while your still young could pay bigger dividends in the long run.

Are you actually going to Penn st. or taking the online classes? I know more colleges are putting more and more curriculum online. Just curious.

I guess Martin has flow the coupe joycajm. I think that you can take classes online from PSU, but I'm not sure if its for a BS or not.

I like the idea of taking meteorology courses online. It saves on travel and room and board. You do miss out on all of the fun times being at the campus though.
