Friday Evening Update

Pablo classified

The Weather Situation
To my shock as with Olga, Pablo was classified. It is a tiny system west of the Azores. This type of system would have been missed or not classified in the past IMO. Tropical storm force winds are estimated only 30 miles northwest of the center of the low.

Sunday Afternoon Update

Pablo a hurricane?

The Weather Situation
IMO Pablo is not a hurricane. It is a tiny system that has an eye on satellite. Officially 75 mph. My estimate would be 60-65 mph. A hurricane with sustained winds of 75 mph would have gusts to 90 mph.
