Who is picking these names? I know some official meteorological people. Why hermine and Igor, etc? This is the western hemishere. How about mark, bob, kathy, sarah, even Jorge, or Maria.

I agree, some of the names picked are unusual. Here is an explanation of how names for hurricanes get chosen.
