Bring it on! we can use a little wind in Boston. I bet cape cod doesn't get more than 75 mph winds. The mets always over hype.

Ninja, I think that you are going to be right. I turned on the TV and the reporters were at the beach covering almost nothing. Rain. Almost no wind. I am thankful that North Carolina missed most of it.

Re: hurricane earl
Earl dodged almost everyone. Even the Leewards / Canada missed most of the wind from Earl. The Turks & Caicos / Bahamas and U.S. east coast all were only slightly affected.

Re: hurricane earl
I did see any hurricane force wind reports there. What was your highest wind estimate?

Re: hurricane earl
Definitely no sustained hurricane force winds but there were a few impressive gusts. Sustained winds were probably around 35-45. Perhaps a little bit higher on the ocean or sound side.Tropical Hurricane wrote:I did see any hurricane force wind reports there. What was your highest wind estimate?

Re: hurricane earl
Thanks for the info Martin. It looks like a few gusts to near or just over hurricane force.
