Colin has now been born in the Atlantic!

Post by CoralReef62 » Tue Aug 03, 2010 10:27 am

Looks like Colin is tracking toward the U.S. Coastline. Question here is will Colin be steered out to sea by the trough moving off the East Coast in time to miss any land areas. Or will Colin dissipate in to an open wave due to the shear it will encounter over the next few days. In either case, this does bare watching as Colin should be near the U.S. Coastline by early next week. I would like to hear from others concerning Colin. :fish:

I'm glad it's gone. We don't need any storms here in North Carolina (or anywhere else too).

I was reading the latest on the remnants of Colin. There is a possibility that some regeneration could occur in the next few days, once the winds settle down. I did hear that a trough coming off the East Coast would curve this storm system out to sea. But first, we need to see if any regeneration occurs to support the rest. Its definetly something to monitor at that. :fish:

I see that! good thing we have technology thats able to have a handle on storms, that travel across the Atlantic. Next one to watch is near the cape verde islands, the NHC is giving it a 40% chance of development. :Taz:
