Now Alex, whats next!
Now that Alex is gone, I wonder when the next storm will develop? I did check the tropical atlantic, it shows a low pressure but it not going to develop in to anything. Their only giving it a low chance and its sitting near Mississippi & Florida. But if things do become favorable, then Mississippi & Florida may be in the path of it.

NHC increased formation chance to 20% today. While there is a bit of shear and dry air, it seems as if there is some improvement with the storm. Most models keep it under tropical storm strength but it needs to be watched closely. Its unfortunate that any system of any strength will be near the oil spill. Its certainly not helping things.

I have a feeling that the Caribbean low is going to develop. It does look like a busy hurricane season is coming up!

Many times there is a lull after the end of June - not this year so far.

It looks like a couple of disturbances have developed. Although their showing signs of a low chance, conditions should appear favorable for the one near the cape verde islands. I guess its something to monitor anyway.

Right Coralreef - even with a little lull, there's always something to monitor in the summer months.
