Post by Caribbean Traveler » Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:41 pm

It has been snowing in atlanta for several hours now. We have received a dusting of snow. It's 28 and dropping. Low near 10 tuesday morning, then a chance of snow, sleet and freezing rain wednesday.

still snowing this morning north of ATL - now for 24 hours straight. So much for the NWS mostly sunny forecast. We are getting snow squalls with 18 degrees this morning.

We had a similar situation. Forecast had flurries . An upper level disturbance came through and ended up giving us a nice inch. The cold is brutal

There was an inch of snow here in eastern NC about one week ago. Likely the same storm.

We had some snow and ice in Chattanooga. About 1/2 inch of snow and freezing rain. School was out yesterday. Today it's warmer and much nicer!

That doesn't seem too bad. How's the weather in Chattanooga now anyway? According to the Weather Channel's website, it appears to be nice and sunny. Of course, you can't really rely on TWC all the time. We've had drastically contrasting weather in Oregon before. Makes for some really bad preparation, if I do say so myself. :P
