southern snow feb 15 - president's day

Post by Florida Beach Gal »

A president's day snow storm is brewing for the south again. This storm will actually bring snow all the way northward to Ohio. It looks like snow into Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and parts of the western Carolinas. It doesn't look like here in eastern N.C. will get any this time. :(

Not going to happen for the deep south. It simply got too warm yesterday. It actually got into the low to mid 50s's in atlanta which was about 5 degrees warmer than the models predicted......bad news for snow fans. Sorry folks not this time!

For those in the know....don't you love it when the 1000-500 thickness is 536 and it still rains? Usually 543-546 this time of year is good for snow in the ATL metro.

Maybe for southern VA, but down here that could have been our last chance. :praying: Hopefully not though. The models have been OTL in the 1-2 week time period. Blizzard for the east, then big rain for the south. The models couldn't even predict a small snow 12 hours in advance. Yikes!

Mike, we have had several snows here in Chattanooga. Only one real decent snow of about 4". We moved here from the Northeast and don't miss how long winters are! 8-)
