Interesting......several big storms move north of Atlanta this winter. This time the heaviest will be to the south of Atlanta. Pretty frustrating to see Macon, GA or south of there getting 6"+. The Atlanta metro will probably be in the 2-4" zone. With the snow falling in the middle of the day, it guarantees that some will melt. :Taz: :twisted: :chairhit: :star_wars:

Eastern North Carolina is expected to get a few inches.....actually maybe more than that toward South Carolina. That doesn't happen very often!

Here are the official Georgia totals ...... Atlanta had mostly around 3" with many locations in the 3-4" range from the Georgia mountains to middle Georgia south of Atlanta.

Alabama totals generally in the 1-4" range. Forecasts were a bit overdone, probably due to the fact that it started as rain in some locations to the south.

Texas totals: up to 14" in Tarrant county. I believe that this makes this storm the official biggest for Dallas Forth Worth.

As for the state of Florida, it looks like the northwest corner saw a little snow and sleet. Crestview officially reported three hours of sleet and snow.

I wanted to report that Harkers Island, NC actually had 8.8". That was a bit higher than some of the posted totals.
